The Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey (EFNJ), an affiliate of the National Epilepsy Foundation, is a state-wide, non-profit charitable agency dedicated to helping to improve the quality of life for people affected by epilepsy and their loved ones. EFNJ is the largest provider agency serving the developmentally disabled with family support services in New Jersey. EFNJ provides family support services to families who have children with development disabilities including autism, mental retardation, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, and other neurological impairments.
Since 1970, from offices strategically located throughout the state, the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey has provided a wide variety of programs and services which include information and referral, support groups, emergency medication assistance, counseling, school/community education, scholarships, Kids on the Block puppet program, advocacy, speakers bureau, and a spectrum of family support services, such as Camp Nova, respite care, STRESSpite, Family CO-OPtions, Out-n-About, financial stipend assistance, and adaptive toy and resource libraries.
